About Me

I’m Kay. That is not the name given to me at birth, but it is convenient and easier to pronounce than the monstrosity my parents bestowed upon me. I have no real skills to speak of, so this mostly barebones project is going to be my attempt at a mid – life crisis. My incredibly obedient nature as a child helped me attain good grades, the tag of being a bootlicker and ‘The Finest Education’ that cramming and vomiting data can buy. A whole 18 years of mostly staying indoors has helped me build an almost encyclopedic knowledge of Bollywood (Hindi Cinema) and Hollywood films, classic rock from the 1960s, teen pop from the 00s and lot of niche garbage. As you would have guessed by now, this wasn’t the healthiest preparation for social interactions/ relationships (or life in general). After spending most of my young adult years watching others do things, I have finally decided to take action and start this blog. I do not have the money to pay a psychiatrist, so I hope my ramblings and revelations will be cathartic not only for the readers but also for me as I make one last attempt to find myself before accepting the dreary reality of adulthood. I am incredibly grateful to anyone who is willing to take time out of their day to be here.

If you feel like an outsider peeking into a huddle as your friends have a conversation – If you stay up at night wondering if anyone would really notice if you were not there – If you see people embracing their loved ones and feel a numbing emptiness – If you feel like you peaked in high school/ college – and most importantly:

If you ever feel, like a plastic bag, floating through the wind, wanting to start again….

This will hopefully be a place where you will find some solace. I will be posting original stories, rants, movie reviews, the occasional artwork and if it ever clears copyright violations – my music.

Yes, I quoted Katy Perry, this will not be the last time. Thank you for being here.
